Motivation NotesIt’s never too late to lose weight. Whether you want to lose 10 pounds or 50 pounds, today is a GREAT day to start. We all know weight loss isn’t easy and any kind of motivation you can get goes a long way.


Here are some helpful weight loss tips that are not only helpful, but fun and motivational at the same time.

1. Get a Weight Loss Buddy
Studies have shown that people who try to lose weight with a fitness partner lose more weight.

When you have a person to turn to when you have a bad day helps keep you from falling off track.

Another benefit of having another person is that you can get together and workout together. It always helps to workout with a partner.

2. Start A Fitness Group
Not only is this beneficial, but it can be fun at the same time. On the weekends, you can pack and healthy lunch and take a hike. Since everyone is there for the same reason, it will be helpful and motivational at the same time.

Another benefit of creating a group is that you can get together and share health recipes and tips that been effective for each other.

3. Buy Clothes for the Future
Buying an outfit a size or two smaller will motivate you to workout so you can lose enough weight to fit into outfit.

4. Portion Control
It’s never smart to cut out all junk food from your life. Even though you are trying to lose weight, you should always look forward to enjoying something you love.

For example, if you love chocolate cake, then instead of cutting it out of your diet, eat a small slice so you can enjoy while trying to get fit. If you cut out all the foods that you enjoy, then you set yourself up for a binge eating craze, which is something you want to say away from.

5. Don’t Weigh Yourself Everyday
It’s hard to do, but try not to jump on the scale everyday. Some days you will lose weight and others you will not and if you weigh yourself and do not see any change in the number, this will discourage and possibly make you want to quit.

When you do weigh yourself, always do it at the same time, every time, preferably in the morning right after you wake up and with no clothes on. To get a more precise number, wearing just your underwear is best.

While some of these tips may sound a bit crazy, you have to realize that whatever motivates you to shed those pounds is totally worth it.

Remember that we all have bad days, so if you find yourself having a bad diet day, just get up, dust yourself off, and start again the next day. Tomorrow is a new day.
