The Bite:
Wanna expose yourself to the great outdoors before it freezes over? Strip yourself from the city and head to Plymouth, VT, in a veggie-oil-fueled van that leaves straight from Manhattan. It'll drop you at the B&B-like Good Commons with six cozy bedrooms and a massive sleeping loft eco-decked with reclaimed-wood floors, low-flow showers, and energy-efficient appliances. Stretch out in the yoga studio for a private or DVD class, then chow on breakfast, lunch, or dinner - all prepared in-house and sourced from We Are What We Eat Farmers' Market. Finally, hike to the Buttermilk Waterfalls to see the leaves change color before the trees go bare.

Cocktail Fact

VT produces over 500,000 gallons of maple syrup a year - enough to fill almost two Olympic-size swimming pools.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 NY Biters travel round-trip to VT in a veggie-oil-powered bus instead of by car, it'll have the same CO2-reducing effect as planting 814 trees.
