10 Healthy Salad Dressing Recipes With 5 Ingredients or Less

You’re probably well aware that leafy green vegetables are among the healthiest foods on planet earth. But the quickest way to turn a healthy salad into a caloric monstrosity is to drench it with a fat and calorie-laden dressing. That’s one of the reasons you should consider making your own healthy salad dressing recipe instead.

salad-girlHere’s another reason: most salad dressings you’ll find at the store may appear to be “healthy” because they don’t have a ton of fat and calories but take a look at the ingredients list and you’ll usually see GMO-filled ingredients like soybean oil, corn oil, and high fructose corn syrup.

Translation: food companies are using cheap, highly processed ingredients that may have long-term negative health effects … even though the nutrition facts label may lead you to think certain foods are not that bad for you.

These 10 healthy salad dressing recipes are the perfect pairing for all types of greens. Try mixing each with romaine, spinach, kale, watercress, arugula, and whatever other green veggies you like.

Each of the following recipes makes four servings, and the nutrition facts you’ll see below correspond to a single serving.

Can anybody tell me, if there is any alternative to balsamic vinegar. I am allergic to it but I really find the balsamic vinaigrette dressing a tempting option. If there is any such alternative, then the name of the salad will definitely change.

  2. Lana Simmons says:

I think I will try Creamy Tomato Dressing with least calories and fat content in it. For me salad is a must food item at least twice a day and I had been looking for such low calorie salad dressings. Thank you Scott.
